Party Nails and Boy Sim released a new track yesterday, Like U. It’s the catchiest song I’ve heard in a long time and I’ve been listening to it nonstop on Spotify. The chorus has been living rent free in my head for almost a month.
I was lucky enough to hear Like U before it was released; Elana sent out some special snail mail to fans last year that included a download code from Bandcamp. As someone who loves sending snail mail myself, I was ecstatic when a box from Party Nails showed up at my door.
I learned about Party Nails in 2015, when I heard Solid Gold off the Battle Tapes album Polygon. That song had me hooked, and from Break to No Pressure to Better, to the Come Again EP and beyond, I became a dedicated Party Nails fan. I’ve greatly enjoyed watching her music career progress through her songs, newsletter, and social media outlets.
Like U introduced me to Boy Sim - I have since become a fan of his tunes as well. Take Me in particular is super catchy. I hope they do more collabs in the future!
