One of my favorite AFI albums, The Art Of Drowning has some killer artwork. After I made my first music-inspired Lite Brite piece, I began thinking of other music art I wanted to recreate in lights. The art for The Art Of Drowning came to mind rather quickly.
Alan Forbes illustrated all of the artwork for the AFI record. His colorful graphics are eye-catching and memorable.
I’m fond of all the illustrations in the CD booklet, but honed in on the scarecrow-like image, as I was a scarecrow this past Halloween.
The Art Of Drowning is filled with incredible songs. My favorites include Of Greetings and Goodbyes, 6 To 8, The Despair Factor, The Days of the Phoenix, and Morningstar.
